Michès Playa Esmeralda Dominican Republic

This was our 3rd time to Miches and it keeps amazing. Especially for our teenage (15yo) son, he gets to meet his friends from Argentina, Brazil, Belgium and the US.
We arrived in the evening and were warmly welcomed by Raul and Marine and a glass of well-deserved champagne! We stayed at the Archipelago (room with swimming pool) whilst our son stayed in a room near to the center/gym what he preferred (Caribbean Paradise). Both rooms were kept very clean and proper by the cleaning ladies. We took our lunch and dinner often at the Coco Plum where the ambiance is easy (sometimes with live music) and where chef Darwin made some nice special meals for us. Coco Plum also sometimes features special Mauritian buffet and BBQ where Chef Larose is in the driver’s seat. Delicious! Raul, Bryan, Michelle, Abhi and Alejandro gave us special attention during our stay and joined us for lunch and/or dinner where we had a chance to catch up with them. We loved the staff in Coco Plum especially David, Patrizia and Esther, but also Kathy, Gotier and Orlando were very nice. Compliments to the bar team especially Angel, Deiby who made sure we didn’t go dry. From La Cave we would like to thank Soel and Hoodler for their great service. Although the house wine is good, we like to order a bottle of wine off the menu most of the nights. We did a morning excursion visiting many different things (Lake Redonda, Coconut plantation, rice factory, farm and finally the mount Redonda. Our son got the chance to try out 1h of e-surfing which he loved. Entertainment was in the capable hands of Simon. You did a great job with the entertainment and especially the coffee games making sure even regulars have it tough. This time the club med artist was Jozzy (band). They were great performers! Different genres of music but also tuned to the audience and moment of the day. Highly recommended! Big shout out to CdV Theo who is an amazingly great circus performer. You have a great team clearly motivated by your enthusiasm! Finally, special thanks to Raul who made sure that every day was a special day in paradise!!!

It was our first holiday at a Club Med, and we absolutely loved the experience. The beach, the food, the sports activities, the shows, the pools — everything was wonderful. Everyone was so kind and attentive to us. But I must give a special thank you to Iara and Yorran for the way they welcomed us, and for the kindness, care, and attention they showed me and my husband throughout our entire stay. Thank you so much!

During my stay at Club Med Michès, one of the biggest highlights was the Teen Club and the incredible staff who run it. From the start, Nico, the teen club admin, stood out as a true free spirit. He has this unique way of making everyone feel instantly comfortable, no matter your background or personality. His energy is fun and relaxed, yet you can tell he’s always looking out for everyone. Nico is deeply inclusive—he notices when someone’s hanging back and gently brings them into the group so no one ever feels left out.
Severine is so, so sweet in a way that feels completely genuine. She has a natural warmth that draws people in and makes you feel safe, even if it’s your first day. Severine takes the time to get to know everyone—not just your name, but your personality, your interests, and even the little details you share in passing. She has a calming presence, yet she’s also full of quiet energy that makes activities more fun. Whether it’s joining in a game, giving encouragement, or simply checking in to see how you’re doing, she makes you feel like you truly belong.

Luna is a bright light in the Teen Club—her kindness goes far beyond just being friendly. She has this incredible way of making every single person feel valued and seen. Luna is creative and thoughtful, often coming up with fun twists on activities or ideas to make things more exciting. She’s the person who will remember what you enjoyed the day before and make sure you get to do more of it. Her positive energy is contagious, lifting the mood of the whole group. But what’s most special about Luna is her heart—she genuinely cares, and you can feel that in everything she does, from the big moments to the small gestures.

Together, Nico, Severine, and Luna make the Teen Club at Club Med Michès a truly welcoming space where you can relax, be yourself, and make friends from all over the world. They turn an already amazing vacation into an unforgettable experience filled with warmth, laughter, and connection.

I just returned from a trip with my 10 year-old son. We did two nights at club Med in Miches and two nights at Lopesan in Punta Cana. The beach at Club Med was stunningly beautiful, and there are no other hotels around so you feel like it’s a private island. There was a coral reef within easy snoring distance, and we spent many hours exploring it. That was our favorite thing to do. The beach alone is worth the trip. The food was also really good. I was worried there wouldn’t be enough kid-friendly options, but there was plenty of pizza, pasta, chicken tenders, and ice cream! The staff were friendly and the pool was also very nice. The rooms were well appointed—not super luxurious, but definitely comfortable and nice enough. I would definitely return. It was a chill vibe and kinda felt like Hawaii but without any other tourist things around—very serene and natural. We both liked it better than Lopesan )which was also very nice, just a bit more of a scene).

We spent a week here with our son in March 2025.

We absolutely loved Club Med Miches. This is a quieter area of the Dominican and is just starting to become more developed.

The property was beautiful and the facilities were amazing.

We loved the buffet and the food was great quality.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Many of the guests spoke French which is common for Club Med and was never an issue for us to still communicate and meet some great people.

We did the onsite excursions which was super convenient. The sunset party on the beach may have been one of my favourite moments.

A huge shoutout to all the staff who made this a great family vacation!
