Punta Cana Dominican Republic

Stunning Beach, warm turquoise waters, plenty of activities. The food is amazing. The drinks are great. Best of all is the amazing staff that go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I highly recommend it for families as there is a kids club, youth club, and mini club.
I will be returning as often as possible

This is our overall fifth visit to this village, and fourth stay for the Thanksgiving week. Our kids love the friendships they’ve built over the years. All sports are daily must with plenty of beach volleyball. Super international, though very American with French flair. Chef and his team delivered amazing dining experience. Well ran property. Highly recommended.

This was a big splurge for us and though we were disappointed a bit upon arrival (don't expect 5 star accommodations), we didn't want to leave by the end of our trip and are already planning another Club Med vacation. We got early check in and late check out (with an extra meal on each end) at no charge. Bags were taken care of and reception was super helpful.

The room was large (separate sleeping area for kids, big walk in closet) and clean. Kids' beds were much softer than the adult bed. It was dated but adequate and had a beautiful balcony.

I was worried about getting sick from the water, it is safe/clean in the restaurants. You'll find two big bottles of water in your room and they will replenish them every day when they clean your room. (some minor tummy issues for us but nothing major)

Food was very good and there were plenty of options for all. Hispaniola is a buffet style restaurant where we enjoyed most meals. Daily made to order omelets, carved meat, roasted vegetables, fresh bread, pasta, and gelato were some of our favorites. You need a reservation for Indigo for dinner (get there at 9am to get one), but we loved going there for breakfast or lunch. Both restaurants had plenty of seating and great views. We also enjoyed the bars. Be sure to scan the QR code to see the fun options including signature drinks, milkshakes, and mocktails.

The best thing for us was having all activities included. Yoga in the palapa was beautiful. Our kids (13 and 11) loved Circus School- check the board outside Hispaniola for times. Both adults tried the trapeze one day too! Our son enjoyed the soccer and ping pong tournaments. We never actually figured out how to use the teen club so be sure to ask the GO when you check in for details as they are not posted in the app or anywhere else. Snorkeling was incredible and we went 3 days. We saw so many fish by the rocks near the pier. FYI- there are age restrictions on some activities-- like 14&up for paddle boarding.

The beach has gorgeous white sand and clear blue water. Try stargazing at night! The pool was also great- big and clean with plenty of chairs/shade and the perfect temperature to cool off.

In the evenings, check out the theater or Indigo bar for shows/parties. Our favorite was the glow party (BYO glow sticks) and the circus show. We also liked the Dominican Show and were bummed we weren't there for Michael Jackson one.

As soon as we got home, we started looking for another club med vacation and would be very happy to return to Punta Cana Club Med someday.

Tips- Don't be shy and ask for info from GOs and other guests. The more you know, the more fun you'll have.
Only 10 minutes to airport- Two hours before your flight is plenty to get through security
