All-inclusive Ski and Snow Resorts: China

Discover the Chinese Mountains

Soft white flakes drift silently into flurries around you as you breathe in the crisp mountain air. Later, you might come together with your loved ones to share your adventures over a steaming, savoury hotpot, lose yourselves in the joy of karaoke, or curl up beside the hearth in your cosy room. For now, though, the mountain is yours to explore – on foot, skis, or perhaps a sled.

From the family-friendly slopes of Changbaishan to the variety of Beidahu's 45 ski runs and the challenging black diamond trails of Yabuli, our resorts in China offer excitement for every level of skier and snowboarder. Whether you're seeking a charming place to learn the ropes, leisurely glides in pristine winter wilderness, or thrilling challenges and speed, you'll find China to be a welcoming, thrilling and excellent-value choice for winter sports.

Skiing with Kids in China

There are so many reasons to love China as a snow holiday destination, especially with kids. As well as offering outstanding value for families and groups, all of our resorts in the spectacular, snow-swept northeast have been designed to include facilities especially for the little ones: snow gardens, dedicated and well-equipped spaces for kids’ clubs, and flexible family accommodation options. Here are a few key things to consider.

Childcare Facilities

Club Med G.O.s are trained to provide expert childcare in our well-equipped spaces, with wholesome and engaging activities including crafting, group games, or putting together an impressive performance for an evening show. From the age of 4, kids can enrol in ski lessons led by professional instructors, with a safe practice area in which to learn and improve.

If you have kids of different ages, these childcare facilities – where you can confidently leave younger children to have fun for a few hours – will give you a chance to spend quality time skiing with your older kids, too.

Family Ski Zones

China's ski resorts each have plenty to offer families, but it's important to consider which would be best for your needs. Look for resorts that have snow gardens, where kids can get comfortable on their skis and practice at their own pace. We’d recommend Changbaishan as the perfect place to learn and build confidence: all main slopes are either at an easy or an intermediate level, making it the ideal location to cruise around at your own pace. For more experienced skiers, Yabuli offers plenty of vigorous challenges.

Family Ski Lessons

Even if you're an experienced skier yourself, ski lessons will help your kids build a solid foundation of skills. Taking a few lessons as a family can also be a lot of fun, so look for resorts that have ski schools with group lessons. All Club Med resorts in China offer ski (age 4+) and snowboard (age 8+) lessons led by expert instructors.

Family Après-Ski

Beyond the slopes, our resorts have so much to offer families. Look for ski resorts that have additional activities you can enjoy together, such as indoor swimming pools, snow tubing, tobogganing or outdoor playgrounds. Check each resort page for details of what's available, such as a few rounds of mini golf in Changbaishan or sledding in Beidahu.

3 - Explore our Chinese Resorts

Changbaishan

Our latest Chinese ski resort is designed with beginner and intermediate skiers in mind, with a great balance between easy and slightly more challenging slopes. Enjoy unrivalled scenery while cross-country skiing through the wooded wilderness, or watch your kids having the time of their lives while learning on our thematic slopes. Things can get a little chilly on the mountain – but our indoor pool complex, fed by natural hot springs, is a luxurious way to warm back up before a ginseng hotpot and a few rounds of mahjong.

Beidahu

Club Med Beidahu has the slopes, scenery and snowfall to satisfy any visitor, from first-time skiers to those looking for exciting challenges. With 45 ski runs to choose between, there’s plenty to keep the mountain thrills coming – but we've also got the après-ski covered for when you return to the resort. Stretch it out at a yoga class, relax in our luxurious sauna, or show off your skills at karaoke. The food in Beidahu showcases authentic Jilin flavours – don't leave without trying the traditional iron pot stewed goose.

Yabuli

China's longest ski runs are part of the appeal of dynamic Yabuli, but there's much more to be discovered too. The heated pool, steam room and spa make for the perfect après-ski relaxation, or keep your energy up with some Zumba. For something different, take an excursion to the nearby forest hot spring, or a day trip to see the famous ice sculptures in glorious Harbin. In our restaurants, experience Russian-inspired Heilongjiang cuisine such as borscht or hotpot.
